DAY 51- Camp Day 5

Yesterday was a great day. I didn’t do too much but I did enough. It was a normal camp day for the most part. I woke up and went down to the dining hall for breakfast.

Jake and I have been waiting for the breakfast ginger pancakes and we got it yesterday. They are really delicious! Just imagine pancakes with a gingery taste, whoever thought these up knows how to make a good pancake.

After breakfast all the kids went outside of the dining hall and played some soccer. We did that everyday it was a normal thing. We played for an hour until our morning class at 9:00am. We are learning how to call a dance called the auctioneer in that class. I’ve never called a dance and I don’t think anyone has in that class except for the teacher.

After that class we went over to snack time and the morning gathering procession. The morning gathering procession is when anyone that wants to play an instrument all come together and agree on a song to play while marching over to where ever the gathering is. Everyone chose when the saints go marching in. That is really an awesome tune. With all of the instruments it sounds so nice.

At morning gathering we did a few dances and learned a few songs but we also started a 2 part story. The story’s at camp are all really good. I can’t wait to hear the rest today.

After that it’s the morning swim time. Jake and I got on our bathing suits and went swimming. Swim time ranges 1 hour and then it’s time for lunch. After lunch it is quiet time. Everyone at camp has a family bio they have to try to complete. It tells about everyone’s hobby’s or anything they want talk about. My aunt asked me to write all of the kids. So I asked Jake and my sisters and soon enough it was done.

After quiet time we went to our afternoon class. We are practicing a dance there. It’s very complicated but we are learning it well. After class it is time for afternoon swimming. Swim time is one of my favorite times everyone who has passed the swim test goes out to the raft. It’s about 25 people always out there during swim time. It’s really a lot of fun.

After that it was time for dinner. We are dinner setters so we arrived earlier. After dinner we went to evening gathering and the evening dances. After that we went late night swimming. Jake, my aunt and I went swimming at 10:00 at night my sister Caitlin watched from the dock. After that we went to bed. Stay tuned tomorrow to hear about the fun day today.
