DAY 38- Exploring Lake Placid

As I mentioned yesterday, Tuesdays are my moms work days. We don’t really do all to much on Tuesdays. As normal we didn’t do to much. We didn’t have anything on our agenda for the day so we decided to make it up.

We went to the playground in the morning and went into the camp store. My mom had calls most of the day so we didn’t really go anywhere until around 2pm. At the playground Caitlin and Sydney played with there friend. They played a game that I wasn’t allowed to play because I was too fast so I don’t really know what it is. We did some stuff in between that and leaving but it really was nothing but sit around the RV. I’m going to skip right to the part where we leave.

My mom wanted to go in the town near lake Placid. If anyone didn’t know lake Placid was home to the 1932 and the 1980 olympics. We got to see the Olympic skating rink and the ski jump.

But right before that we did something really fun and I’ve never done that before which made it even more fun. The whole family went to the A&W restaurant and all had free root beer for the first time. The funny part is that my mom asked the waitress how much one costs and she said it’s National Rootbeer Float Day and they’re free. That was really cool.

Next we drove into Lake Placid around 6pm and it was kinda late so most of the stores were closed except the food. After that my dad spotted a green grocery store for mom and that made her so happy. She bought some food and soon after we left.

Stay tuned to hear about today where we went to the Tupper lake wild center with some in and out rain. It’s sorry it’s not to long. I wrote an awesome longer one earlier that got deleted. I wrote as much as I can again.

  1. Great picture! And well done rewriting all this! It’s happened to me too many times as well. In fact, it might be a good idea to click Control + A (or Command + A if you have a Mac) to select all copy, then Control or Command + C to copy it, and Control or Command + V to paste it later if it disappears on you when you go to submit. But yeah, most often when we writers lose our copy, we so often get lazy and only rewrite a little bit of it. You posted a lot here though, so good job!

  2. I have rarely had a float, but they are yummy. Was the A and W crowded?

Sorry you lost your work. It happens. That is part of any art.
